wedding planning that focuses on what matters.
Lila Grae is a blend of names of the women in our family whose lives have been about hospitality.
It pays homage to the grandmothers, mothers, and daughters who make it a family calling to make others feel welcome. Their homes are always open; hosting dinners, game nights and social occasions. These are the women who visit those in need of company and always have a special dish to bring. They are active in church groups, schools organizations, community associations, social clubs, and charity work.
My grandmother somehow managed to go to church every Sunday morning, come home and fry chicken in a single skillet for 20 people along with many side dishes and dessert and have it on the table at one o’clock. She loved having her family for Sunday “dinner.” I inherited her dining table and think of those happy Sunday dinners each time I walk by.
Sharon’s purpose in life has been to bring people to a gathering place, whether it be home, table, party, or church (community). The women who have come before have paved this path for Sharon.
Her corporate roots are planted in leading organizations such as IBM, Siemens, and Ericsson, where she created logistical strategies and implementation of technology systems. Sharon is a highly experienced problem solver and out-of-the-box thinker.
Most recently, Sharon has directed and planned large-scale non-profit events for 3000+ attendees. She is extremely skilled at the challenges involved with detailed event production including vendor sourcing, design implementation, and complicated event execution.
As founder of Lila Grae Events, Sharon feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring people to the table… to gather, celebrate, and cherish… the most important moments in their lives.

Kathryn loves seeing an event brought together with cooperative teamwork, beautifully completed to encourage families to gather, cherish, and celebrate in a memorable setting.
Lila Grae Events brought our vision to life from the smallest detail to the overall design. Sharon provided a stress-free planning process that allowed us to enjoy the months leading up to the event. Our backyard reception had to be built from the ground up with cocktails, dinner service, tent rental, entertainment and dancing space, and the set up worked wonderfully. The evening's flow was well organized and Sharon's calm demeanor provided an ideal environment. We were able to enjoy a beautiful night with our closest family and friends celebrating our daughter's wedding!
“Lila Grae Events did a terrific job of giving me what I wanted most for my wedding; to be stress free and to have a great time with those I love.”
